Fuel efficiency improvement solutions for customers
Hyundai Motor Company has shared the data analysis results and fuel efficiency improvement solutions of the Commercial Vehicle Data Monitoring System (CVDMS), as well as proceeded with a variety of programs such as a question and answer session with researchers.
In particular, the CVDMS showcased on this occasion was developed by the HMC Namyang Technological Research Center. This system is intended to help drivers understand their driving habits and patterns by collecting data, including real-time driving speed, engine speed, pedal distribution, etc.
Last September, Hyundai Motor Company installed the CVDMS in the Xcient, a commercial vehicle, of 20 participating customers. Since then, data on their driving habits have been collected and analyzed. Based on the results, Hyundai Motor Company provided each customer with solutions for better fuel efficiency through customized education.
Moreover, after receiving theoretical education, the customers had an opportunity to apply and experience the better fuel efficiency solutions they learned through the road test program. Also, Xcient owners were given a chance to freely talk about their fuel efficiency-related with the researchers of the HMC Namyang Technological Research Center.
