Driving Class Offers a Solution to Improve Fuel Efficiency
“Hyundai Truck & Bus helps heavy truck customers find solutions to their problems!”
Provided a customized one-on-one solution by using a commercial vehicle monitoring system and analyzing individual driving habits. Held the “Fuel Efficiency King Competition” in which customers could apply fuel efficiency solutions and experience their effects.
Xcient Space Ulsan, Hyundai’s complex base of commercial vehicles, invited 20 owners of the heavy truck Xcient and offered the “2018 Xcient Driving Class.”
The “Xcient Driving Class” was offered to heavy truck drivers who drive long distances and are sensitive to fuel efficiency, in order to provide them with information on effectively improving their gas mileage and to communicate with them about issues related to fuel efficiency. A “commercial vehicle monitoring system,” a vehicle diagnostic system developed by Hyundai’s Namyang R&D Center, was used to examine drivers’ driving habits and patterns by collecting data on driving speed, engine speed, and pedal distribution in real time. The results of the diagnostic system analysis were used for the event’s fuel efficiency solution course, a customized one-on-one course on driving and fuel efficiency in which drivers learned how to improve their gas mileage. The event also featured the “Fuel Efficiency King Competition,” which allowed drivers to apply the know-how they learned to improve their gas mileage and to experience the effects of these improvements in person.
